Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-07-13

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (the Terms) govern your use of the Jutusta service at jutusta.ee (the Service). The Service is provided by Next Interaction OÜ, registry code 14100426, Villardi 32-14, Tallinn 10142, Estonia ("we", "us").

By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Companion documents are our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Sub-processors list, and Right of Withdrawal information.

2. Description of the Service

Jutusta provides, through web and programmatic interfaces:

  • text-to-speech, including preset voices and user-created voice samples;
  • speech-to-text from live microphone input and uploaded audio files, including recognising saved speakers with your explicit consent;
  • speech translation;
  • a developer API for the above features;
  • OAuth/OIDC authorization that lets third-party applications and AI agents you approve use the developer API on your behalf.
  • a Microsoft Teams integration that, with your consent and through your Microsoft work or school account, automatically picks up your Teams meeting recordings for transcription and summarisation.
  • a Google Meet integration that, with your consent and your Google Workspace administrator's authorization, automatically picks up your Meet meeting recordings for transcription and summarisation.

When you set up the Microsoft Teams or Google Meet integration you choose how your meeting data is handled: either billing only — the transcript and summary are delivered to you by email (for Teams also to SharePoint) and no meeting content is stored on Jutusta, only credits are charged — or also saved on Jutusta — the audio, transcript and summary are additionally copied to your Jutusta account, where you can browse and edit them. The second option involves a greater degree of data exposure; you can change this choice at any time by reconnecting.

The Service is offered on an "as is" basis. Features, limits and availability may change — we'll notify you in advance about material changes.

3. Accounts

Accounts are created via Google sign-in. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old (in the EU, subject to your country's minimum) or otherwise legally capable of entering into this agreement.

One person, one account. You are responsible for the accuracy and confidentiality of your account credentials. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being misused.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • clone, imitate or generate the voice of another natural person without that person's explicit, verifiable consent;
  • save another natural person's voiceprint for automatic speaker recognition without that person's explicit, verifiable consent;
  • create or distribute synthetic speech ("deepfakes") intended for fraud, harassment, identity theft, disinformation, or any other unlawful purpose;
  • generate content that is illegal, threatening, hateful, or sexually exploitative of minors;
  • send unsolicited bulk communications or operate automated voice agents at scale without authorisation;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract our models;
  • impose unreasonable load on the Service, or circumvent rate limits or other technical controls.

Violations entitle us to suspend your account or API keys immediately, without limiting any other remedy available to us.

5. Your content and licence to us

Content you upload to or generate through the Service (audio files, transcripts, voice samples, synthesised speech) is and remains yours. You retain all intellectual property rights in your content.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process your content to the extent strictly necessary to operate the Service — including storing it in our infrastructure for the retention period, processing it with our speech models, and transmitting it back to you.

If you choose to save a speaker in a transcription, you give separate explicit consent for us to store a numeric signature of that speaker's voice (a voiceprint) so the same speaker can be recognised in your future transcriptions. Voiceprints are used only to label speakers in your own transcriptions and can be permanently deleted at any time in account settings.

We do not use your content to train models. Your audio files, transcripts, voice samples, and saved voiceprints are kept separate from our training datasets.

6. Our intellectual property

The Service, including the software, user interface, preset voices, speech models, documentation, and the "Jutusta" brand, is owned by Next Interaction OÜ and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of, or any licence to, any of the foregoing other than the right to use the Service as intended.

7. AI-generated content

Synthetic speech, transcripts, and other output generated by the Service may contain inaccuracies, mistranscriptions, or artefacts. You are responsible for how you use such output in your context.

The Service is not suitable for situations where inaccuracy could cause physical or significant economic harm — including medical diagnosis, the determination of legal obligations, or financial decisions without independent human review.

8. Fees, credits and billing

The core functionality of the Service is offered on a credit-based model. Each credit pack you purchase adds credits to your account, which are consumed by Service operations (speech recognition, text-to-speech, translation, denoising, summarisation). The currently available packs and the per-credit price are always published at jutusta.ee/pricing; we will give advance notice of any change.

8.1 What a credit is

One (1) credit is approximately equivalent to the following amount of service: 2 minutes of speech recognition on an uploaded file, 1 minute of live dictation, 30 seconds of real-time translation, 1 minute of noise removal, 500 characters of text-to-speech, or 1 large-language-model-backed summary call. The exact conversion ratios are published at /pricing and may change; any change applies only to future operations and does not retroactively reprice credits already consumed.

On signup, a free welcome credit allotment is granted to your account. Welcome credits and credits granted as part of any promotion are not refundable in cash.

8.2 Packs and prices

The credit packs currently on sale are published at jutusta.ee/pricing. All prices are in euros (EUR) and include VAT applicable in Estonia. Representative packs are:

  • 500 credits — €5 (VAT incl.);
  • 1750 credits — €15 (VAT incl.).

For larger volumes or custom arrangements, please get in touch via /contact.

8.3 Credit validity

Purchased credits are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. Unused credits expire automatically at the end of this period and are not converted to cash. Your billing history retains a full record of purchases and expirations.

8.4 Payment methods and payment service provider

Payments are processed by our external payment service provider LHV Payment Gateway. In specific configurations we may use another payment service provider. Depending on the current configuration of the Service and your region, the following methods may be available:

  • bank-link payments: direct transfers initiated from your online banking;
  • card payments: Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, including through Apple Pay and Google Pay wallets.

When you initiate a transaction, you are redirected to the payment provider's secure payment environment or to your bank's environment. We do not store your card details or banking credentials — these are processed only by the payment service provider in accordance with its own terms and with applicable card scheme rules (Visa Core Rules and Visa Product and Service Rules, Mastercard Rules). Card transactions are also subject to the terms of your card-issuing bank and card scheme.

8.5 Transaction confirmation and credit delivery

Once a payment is successfully confirmed, credits are added to your account automatically — typically within seconds. We send an email confirmation of the purchase to the email address associated with your account. Transaction details (order number, date, amount and number of credits purchased) are also available in your billing history at /app/billing.

An invoice is issued after successful payment settlement to the email address provided in the invoice details.

8.6 Failed and cancelled payments

If a payment does not succeed (for example, bank decline, insufficient funds, expired authorisation, or card-scheme transaction blocking), credits are not issued and no funds leave your account. If in doubt about the status of a transaction, please check with your bank or card issuer.

8.7 Refunds and withdrawal

The consumer right of withdrawal — including the 14-day period, the calculation of the refund amount, and the standard withdrawal form — is described in detail in our Right of Withdrawal information. In short: within 14 days of purchase you may withdraw and receive a refund pro rata to the unused portion of your credit pack; consumed credits are not refundable. The refund is processed using the same payment method and within 14 days.

Where the paid service does not conform to the contract (for example credits do not arrive after a successful payment), we will remedy the non-conformity or refund the payment in accordance with § 218 et seq. of the Estonian Law of Obligations Act.

8.8 Applications and agents you authorize

You can connect third-party applications and AI agents to your account through our OAuth/OIDC authorization flow. When you approve such a connection on the consent screen, that application can use the Service's speech features on your behalf — and any speech synthesis, transcription, or other metered operation it performs is billed to your account's credits exactly as if you had performed it yourself.

You are responsible for the applications you authorize and for the credits they consume. We do not provide these third-party applications and are not responsible for their conduct; your use of them is governed by their own terms. You can review your connected applications and revoke their access at any time under "Connected applications" in your account settings; revoking access stops further credit spend through that connection.

9. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer within the meaning of EU consumer protection law, you have the right to withdraw from a credit-pack purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. On withdrawal we refund the value of the unused portion of the credit pack pro rata against the pack price. Full details, the refund procedure and the standard withdrawal form are set out in our Right of Withdrawal information.

For clarity: because credits are digital content delivered on a non-tangible medium immediately after purchase, under § 53(4)(11) of the Estonian Law of Obligations Act the right of withdrawal may be limited to the extent performance has begun with your prior express consent. By purchasing credits and accepting them into your account, you confirm that you consent to immediate performance. Notwithstanding this, we apply the more consumer-friendly pro rata refund described in the previous paragraph.

10. Changes and termination

We may modify the Service or these Terms. For material changes (for example to acceptable use, liability, or billing), we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email or through the Service.

You may close your account at any time from the Service settings or by emailing info [ät] jutusta [punkt] ee . On closure we apply the deletion procedures described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your account with reasonable cause, including for violations of these Terms.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEXT INTERACTION OÜ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

Our total cumulative liability under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the fees you paid to us during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits our liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, mandatory consumer-protection rights, or obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation where applicable law does not permit such exclusion.

13. Confidentiality

Non-public information shared in the context of beta or paid-preview programmes (for example, roadmap details or internal technical documents) is confidential. You agree not to disclose it without our prior written consent.

14. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation within 30 days are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Harju County Court in Tallinn, Estonia.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. In Estonia, the Data Protection Inspectorate is the competent authority for data-protection complaints.

15. General

These Terms, together with the documents referenced above, constitute the entire agreement between us regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.

You may not assign any rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets.
